Drappier Cuvee de Millenaire 2000 (1993 vintage)

Very pretty straw gold. Fine bead. Fresh bready yeast, quite floral. Palate has green apples with acid obvious. Refreshing, bready yeast again, apple blossoms and peach. Good wine let down by the finish – too short and sharp. Magnum.

Urville, Aube, Champagne, France

Bought at auction from Webb’s Auctions in 2004. Average value at $110 but then I did keep it for too long. Stored in a Vintage Keeper.
