Quite deep robe, amber edge moving to the centre. Eyes say ‘drink up’! Fruit reserved at first, dusty foresty but clean nose. Opens to reveal plums, blackcurrants and cherries. Mellow palate, classic Bordeaux age. Good acid and tannins – moreish. Medium finish. A nice surprise for my last bottle.
